Hospitality Management

Hospitality Management is the heart of hotel management and tourism hospitality. This module provides a comprehensive view of the evolution of the sector, the types of accommodation facilities, operational and strategic management, as well as the fundamental skills to offer an excellent hospitality experience.

 

  • Tourism evolution: development of tourism in Trentino and in Italy, hotel classification and star system, differences between hotel and extra-hotel facilities, tourist packages, difference between service and product;
  • Reception and reservations: functions of the reception department, distinction between front and back office, professional requirements, management of telephone, email, live and indirect reservations;
  • Ownership and management: hotel ownership models, functional organization chart, organization of hotel spaces;
  • Soft & Hard Skills: importance of technical and transversal skills, customer perception management, the Guest Cycle, communication and coordination, linguistic register, up-selling and cross-selling strategies;
  • Managerial management: power and leadership management, statistical analysis of the number of hotels at national level, professional ethics, managerial skills, Room Division Management and Time Management;
  • PMS Ericsoft Suite 5: using the hotel management software, learning the key functions, acronyms and operational meanings.
